Central Florida Christian Links: Inspirational Book Recommendations

MICHAEL'S CHRISTIAN MUSIC RECOMMENDATIONS If you're a music lover like me, you may be dissatisfied with the music that's currently playing on secular radio -- there is some good stuff out there but it's very limited. Throughout most of my life I never paid much attention to Christian music because the songs just didn't do it for me. I listened a few times and walked away; usually going back to my older favorites. Well, I'm here to tell you that Christian music has evolved into something very different. There are now various genres including hip-hop, metal, rock and "modern" worship -- something for everyone. I've fallen in love with the new sounds of Christianity! Check out these CDs for worship on-the-go.

What's Hot?
	Comatose Skillet Comatose is a masterpiece of hard rock. Skillet just gets better every year, and their message is getting out to larger audiences as their album soars up the charts. Even the secular rockers are taking notice of this group -- what a great way to witness! My kids love Skillet and eagerly await a new album and upcoming concert dates in the Orlando area.
	Blessed Be Your Name: The Songs of Matt Redman Vol. 1 Matt Redman Matt Redman is a master of the Worship Music genre. If you haven't heard his name before, you've most certainly heard his songs on the radio or at church services (being performed by other people). This is one of my most treasured CDs.
	The Face of Love Sanctus Real Sanctus Real is an awesome hard rocking Christian band. Another real teen pleaser -- and big kids like me think they're pretty cool too. The hit single "Broken Inside" is worth the price of admission alone. Their music is dramatic, moody, and relevant and I can't seem to get enough of it.
	Glory Revealed: The Word of God in Worship Various Artists This folksy worship music is top notch!!! Some of the best and brightest in the CCM world (Mac Powell, Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, Brian Littrell, and David Crowder) lent their talents to this album and it shines like a star in the sky. The CD marries the Words of God to beautifully styled melodies and the results are indescribable. I have listened to this CD over and over again and find myself learning scripture without even trying to.
	Portable Sounds tobyMac tobyMac (of DC Talk fame) is a phenomenal musician who has devoted his life to our Lord. In my family it's hard to find a day when we aren't listening to some heart-pounding tobyMac fare. His music is incredibly diverse and appeals to a broad fan base. On Portable Sounds, you can expect to hear anything from funk, to hip-hop, to techno. Toby's lyrics go straight to my heart when he talks about human diversity, personal demons, and loving one another.
