Ponceannah Cemetery Association
Who Are We?
The Ponceannah Cemetery Association is the volunteer organization that helps care for and preserve Ponceannah Cemetery in Paisley, Florida.
For generations, local families and volunteers have worked to maintain the cemetery, care for the grounds, preserve its character, and ensure that families in our community continue to have a peaceful and dignified place to bury and remember their loved ones.
Ponceannah Cemetery is not a corporate cemetery. Its care has always depended heavily on the time, effort, generosity, and dedication of people within the community. From maintaining the grounds and assisting families to helping preserve historic graves and cemetery records, the Association continues a tradition of local stewardship that stretches back more than a century.
The cemetery itself dates to 1860 and remains an active burial ground today. While its history is an important part of our community, the work of the Association is focused on caring for Ponceannah now and helping preserve it for future generations.

A Community Tradition
Ponceannah Cemetery has survived for more than 160 years because generation after generation chose to care for it.
The community around it has changed. Roads have changed. Old settlements have disappeared. Families have come and gone.
But the cemetery remains.
The Ponceannah Cemetery Association continues the work of those who came before us: caring for the grounds, respecting those who rest here, and helping ensure that Ponceannah remains a place of dignity, remembrance, and history for generations to come.
